A series of pictures of what appears to be the Nokia C5 have cropped up on online.

The C5 has not even been officially announced, but the quality of the images, which were uncovered by Daily Mobile SE, suggests that the launch date must be drawing very close.

On the outside there is nothing too revolutionary about the C5's design; it features a traditional candybar form factor with a numeric keypad and a non-touchscreen display.

On the back a 3.2 megapixel camera is visible, as is a large, silver battery cover.

The C5 is said to use the Symbian S60 operating system, which is found on most of Nokia's smartphones. A microSD memory card slot, 3.5G connectivity and a full sized 3.5mm headphone jack round off the admittedly average-sounding package.

The C5's specs suggest it is likely to enter the market at the lower end and offer advanced apps and connectivity to those on a budget.

Nokia is likely to be announcing the C5 and its little brother the C3 later in the month at the Mobile World Conference 2010.
