The Dell Mini 5 touchscreen tablet mobile phone has been demonstrated by the company's Chief Executive Officer Michael Dell.

Rumours of the Mini 5's arrival were fuelled during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2010 when pictures of the five-inch handset surfaced online and it seems that development is nearing its completion.

As well as a huge capacitive touchscreen, the Mini 5 looks set to offer an intuitive interface with multiple homescreens, a five megapixel camera on the back and a 3G connection for voice calls and data transfer.

Mr Dell happily announced that the Mini 5 could be arriving within the next couple of months, although this is likely to be available in the USA before it turns up anywhere else.

No pricing for the Mini 5 has arrived, although with its impressive credentials it is likely to come with quite a significant price tag.
