The original Nokia X6 is set to be re-branded as the X6 32GB, fuelling rumours that a lower cost 16GB version of the music phone is one the way.

The official Nokia website was the source of the X6 32GB news and many believe that a cheaper version of the X6 that does not have a subscription to the 'comes with music' service will compliment the current X range.

The X6 16GB will probably hold on to all of the other technical features of its big brother, including Wi-Fi and GPS built-in, along with a five megapixel camera and a 3.2 inch touchscreen display.

Gadget site Ubergizmo is even circulating rumours suggesting that the X6 16GB will be released as a female-friendly pink version in the run up to Valentine's Day, although we will have to wait for confirmation from Nokia to see if this turns out to be true.

Since launching its first touchscreen music phone last year, Nokia has really taken to creating high quality mobile phones at this specification level and it seems set to continue to do so into the future.
