About HTC

About HTC

HTC is one of the world’s most successful smartphone manufacturers and is one of the fastest growing companies in the mobile sector in recent years. Its devices are among the most powerful on the market, offering easy to use solutions that embrace the full range of mobile multimedia resources, wireless anytime and Internet on the go.

HTC mobile phones have garnered plaudits from far and wide for the opportunity they afford users to carry out their work while on the go. This is enabled by the phones’ compatibility with Windows Mobile operating system, allowing users to edit and view documents created in key Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Just as usefully, the phones support Outlook Mobile, to give users a huge array of e-mail functions.

The company’s handsets have also attracted admirers for the great internet connectivity and multi-media features they offer, which are brought to life on HTC mobile phones’ characteristically large and colourful screens. To this end, the phones have included everything from high-grade cameras to excellent media players.

History

History

HTC was founded in 1997 in Taiwan as an outsourcing company and original design manufacturer. However, it has since moved into manufacturing its own range of powerful mobile phones, with sales growth burgeoning following its partnership deal with Microsoft to develop Windows Mobile.

In its short history, the company has introduced a range of innovations to the market including the first intuitive touch screen to allow fingertip navigation as well as the first ever Microsoft Smart Music Phone. It was also responsible in October 2008 for the release of the first smartphone to employ Google’s Android software. HTC has also collaborated with UK design guru Ted Baker to bring fashion phone good looks to augment the appeal of the company’s powerful handsets.
